                                                       About Self-Clinching Fasteners

                                       • Self-clinching fasteners are standoffs, nuts, studs, and pins used to attach components
                                                  to metal and non-metal sheets
                                       • Attachment is permanent load-bearing thread
                                       • Reverse side of metal sheet remains flush- no swaged rim projects
                                       • Eliminates the possibility of loose hardware
                                       • Quick installation with parallel acting squeezing force to mount hardware into plain hole
                                       • Most common materials used are steel, 300 & 400 series stainless steel, and aluminum
                                       • Common finishes are zinc clear, tin plating and tin over copper flash
                                       • Benefits include low installation cost, fewer parts to handle, reduction in assembly time
                                       • High push-out and torque-out resistance
                                       • No special hole preparation, such as chamfering or deburring
                                       • No re-tapping needed after application
